Hydrogen fuel cells will have an important role in reducing carbon footprint as they offer environmentally friendly alternative to fossil-based fuels by converting hydrogen as a fuel and oxygen from the air in clean electricity with only by-product being water. In 2016, the fuel cells’ global market value was estimated at 3.2bn USD with 20% CAGR that will lead to up-to 25bn USD by 2025. This is a versatile energy source with many potential applications in the transport sector as well as for stationary power generation.
