The present invention relates to novel chemotherapeutics, substituted bithazoles, with a potentially safer therapeutic profile. Discovered compounds inhibit human DNA topoisomerase II via an alternative mechanism, thus avoiding the DNA damage. The invention relates to the preparation of breathable wash-resistant water- and oil-repellent self-cleaning cotton textiles by sol-gel technology. The achieved self-cleaning effect enabled water droplet to roll-off from the textile surface at angle lower than 2°, and was accompanied by an exceptionally high water-repellence, i.e. the static contact angles of the water and n-hexadecane droplets were equal to 160° and 150°, respectively. The wash-resistant coating successfully preserves the outstanding performances even after 10 domestic washings.
Our innovation is ecologically friendly and energy efficient nanotech production process. The process is exploiting spontaneous chemical reactions at a room temperature and atmosphere pressure to engineer a composite of two or more metals on a carbon surface. The catalyst of such structure is then activated with our second innovation, thus making it applicable in industry-relevant circumstances.
